Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART is used to help reprogram the way distressing memories and images are stored in the brain, so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. ART accomplishes this through the use of rapid eye movements similar to eye movements that occur while dreaming.

ART is recognized as a peer reviewed evidenced-based treatment for psychological trauma.

ART provides rapid recovery (1-5 sessions) from acute trauma and can help facilitate healing in other mental health challenges including (but not limited to):

-
anxiety
-
depression
-
motor vehicle accident trauma
-
post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
-
addictions
-
performance anxiety
-
poor self image
-
sexual abuse
-
domestic abuse / domestic violence
-
relationship issues
-
complicated/disenfranchised grief
-
job-related stress
-
miscarriage
-
birth trauma
Our first session is 50 minutes and helps you to learn more about ART, ensure that it is the right treatment for you and to prepare for your first ART session. ART sessions afterwords are 75 minutes. Once the issues have been resolved using ART, some clients wish to continue with traditional talk therapy (skill building, etc.) while others will choose to only return as needed.
