For as long as I can remember, I've felt a strong sense of empathy and compassion for others. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to work in a helping profession where I could make a difference in people's lives. Initially, this led me to the career path as a 9-1-1 call taker and dispatcher. My time spent in this role sparked an interest and passion for mental health, crisis intervention, grief work, and the importance of human connection. This guided me to apply for the Social Work Diploma program at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Upon receiving my diploma, I continued with undergraduate and graduate studies and now hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) through the University of Waterloo. I have been a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) since 2013 and have been working in the field for over 11 years.
My background includes supporting individuals who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse, crisis and trauma, mental health, addictions, grief and loss, the medical field, and perinatal health. My diverse experience has allowed me to work in leadership roles, as well as supporting individuals in a variety of settings such as hospitals, a sexual assault health
